Ingredients:
- 1 kg pork hock/pata
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can pineapple chunks/slice
- 5 pcs bay leaves
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 broth cube/seasoning mix
- 5 tbsp Mang Tomas sauce
- 2 cups water
- salt to taste
Cooking Procedure:
- In a large pan, combine pork, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, garlic, bay leaves, black pepper, seasoning mix and water.
- Heat the pan and simmer for 1.5 hours. Add water if necessary.
- Add the pineapple slices with the syrup. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Taste the sauce and adjust according to your taste by adding salt, sugar or vinegar.
- Thicken the sauce by adding 5 tbsp of Mang Tomas sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
